The Taste of Red Hook is coming back this month, and will be serving up some of the best bites and sips that the neighborhood has to offer.
The event features 50 award-winning eateries, breweries and other culinary proprietors from Red Hook. This year, notable participants include Blue Marble Ice Cream, Pok Pok NY, Court Street Grocers, Sixpoint Brewery, and Sohui Kim’s The Good Fork. In addition to the nibbles and drinks, there will a raffle for the opportunity to enjoy a Model S Tesla for 24 hours.

All proceeds from the event will benefit event host the Red Hook Initiative (RHI), a community center in Red Hook which serves over 5,000 residents annually. RHI believes that social change to overcome systemic inequities begins with empowered youth and nurtures young people to be inspired and to envision themselves as co-creators of their lives. Community building programs serve as the foundation for RHI’s youth development work, focusing on building a healthy and sustainable Red Hook community. This year is the Red Hook Initiative’s 15th serving the community — in honor of this anniversary, a special exhibit honoring the RHI’s achievements will be on display during the event.

The Taste of Red Hook will take place on Tuesday, September 26 at the pre-Civil War Liberty Warehouse at 260 Conover Street from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets for the food event start at $175 (purchase includes all food and drink) and raffle tickets start at $10.
