Yes, I am sure the residents of that lovely block will appreciate people hanging out on the sidewalk/stoops with their ices. I would rather a doctor’s office…
I like their Cappucino Chunk ice cream.
and Mint Chip.
oh yeah, the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup too.
I don’t get why this Uncle Louie G’s has spread so successfully, when they are NOT remotely the best Italian ices around. Ralph’s in Franklin Square (and various other locations in Queens, L.I. and S.I. but NONE in Bklyn)…awesome cream ice, and a mind-blowing shake called the Ralphaccino (laugh until you’ve tried one). Rita’s…incredible fruit ice. And there are undoubtedly others I don’t know about. But Uncle Louie’s is just okay; yet they keep popping up everywhere. They must have the most aggressive expansion policy or something….
good to see them expanding, sign of summer when open on smith street if you want amazing, real and full of fruit ices, hit Fabio’s Tropical Ices Fabio’s Tropical Ices
4918 4th Avenue in Sunset….
Why do people complain so much? Isn’t this better than a vacant doctor’s office? I happen to like their ices and think it’s a good addition to the neighborhood. It’s not Godiva chocolate, but this is a side street in Prospect Heights, what were all of the complainers out there expecting?
actually, daveinbedstuy, it IS a nice block. extremely nice, pretty brownstones, gorgeous trees. prototypical lovely Brooklyn block.
Oh my goodness this is the best news I’ve had all week! It’s a great location, and it’ll be nice to have another summer spot to hit…excellent news!
Two doors up from here you will find Little Miss Muffin, purveyor of delicious cookies and Jamaican Patties.
How I miss that place from my days in Prospect Heights.
How long does it take to set up a half dozen chest freezers, an awning, and two underage girls?
