The storefront that houses the Record & Tape Center, the long-running biz near the corner of 9th Street on 5th Avenue, is being advertised for rent for $4,000. The listing is significant because initial reports on the closing of the Slope mainstay said the record store was vacating because the adjacent deli, which owns the record store space, was going to annex it. In any event, the listings broker says the record shop will be in biz until the end of the month. A June story in the Daily News said the Record & Tape center would be relocating to another storefront on the same block.

When I was cleaning out the basement, they bought all my old LPs.
They sell cassette tapes, 8-track tapes and a few records. But you should ask Denton and Brooklynchimp because they are regular customers, apparently.
and duh i dont mean what are records and tapes.. i mean is it just that or like old vhs movies? really old stuff? i must have passed this place a few times.

So does that make the moving of the record shop an exercise in futility – he could’ve stayed?
They’re just moving down the block.
