The latest doings on 5th Avenue include the long-awaited opening of Brooklyn Bread on 6th Street. The new outpost of the Court Street bakery is bigger than the Carroll Gardens location, and its employees say all goods are baked on the premises. Farther south north, near the corner of Sackett, a lingerie and handbag store called Petticoat Lane recently set up shop. The store is a small chain with other locations in Tribeca, Westchester and Connecticut. Near the corner of Union, meanwhile, a laundromat that’s had a sign up announcing its arrival for quite some time is finally almost ready to roll. New washing machines have been delivered, say workers, and the laundromat’s owner is looking to open within the next month.

  1. 5:26, I suggest you let it go. People have gotten food poisoning from probably every single restaurant in creation at some point.

Not saying Aunt Suzie’s doesn’t suck as a restaurant, but not because your precious gf got a tummyache 14 years ago. Hope she’s feeling better, btw.
