Modell’s has been around since forever, they aren’t some sneaker heaven wannabee. The fact that they consider the Fulton Mall to be worthy of an upgrade and new store is a sign that they are still committed to Bklyn for the long haul.
The old store has been there for at least 30 or more years. They probably hold the record.

There were some others on the Conway side of the street whose names I can’t even remember. What was at the Conway’s location? Anyone remember?

Amy Ruth’s is opening on Fulton Mall, near the intersection with Smith. I know I’m not the only one eagerly awaiting their arrival.
Amy Ruth’s (mmmmmmmmmm waffles and chicken mmmmmmmmmmmm)is supposed to open where the old Gage and Tollners/TGI Fridays were (on fulton st). they are a legend up on 116th st..worth the trip. I for one can’t wait for them to open here in brooklyn!!

I weent there last weekend and it’s awesome. Huge, lots of variety, and the best part was that the customer service was EXCELLENT. I’m serious. People were actually courteous and helpful? In brooklyn?
