We’re a couple weeks late on this one, but it wasn’t until we biked through the Fulton Mall yesterday that we noticed that the new Modell’s, the opening of which we’d written about back in March, had in fact opened. According to an employee, the corner location opened for business two weeks ago. Anyone been by?

  1. “5:17, you may be debt-free, but your sanctimony sucks. Tell me, should there be less bank branches in affluent neighborhoods too? Do they encourage too many people to think they’re investing responsibly?”

Huh?? Nice total lack of logic, there.

I am HARDLY the first person on the planet to say people in low income neighborhoods aren’t spending their money on the right things.

    Obama said it too.

This is an actual, real, ongoing topic of discussion among leaders in low income communities. People who actually care about those people would know that.

  2. As they were renovating this, I was hoping they’d restore the corner of the building which originally was curved. When they didn’t do that, I assumed it was because they wanted the extra square footage of ground floor retail. Now that it’s open, it doesn’t have anything on the ground floor except an escalator and elevators. Would it have been expensive to restore the original shape of the building?

Amy Ruths was supposed to open up on Vlentines day but put it off because of some paperwork associated to the Liquor license. As soon as that comes through, they will open. I can’t wait to see the space inside. I’ve never been in there before.
