Now that its renovation is nearing an end, the Atlantic Avenue YWCA is looking to rent out the double-height space fronting Atlantic Avenue as retail. (Presumably this will mean significant alterations to the facade, no?) The offering includes 4,550 square feet of floor space plus another 1,800 square feet of balcony space. They’re asking $60 a foot which seems a little pricey to us. What kind of business would work well in that space, do you think?

  1. “ENY…I assume you’re referring to Lucky Chang’s and not the gay bath house that preceeded it. No?”

Um, no. I’m talking about the auditoriumthat was “sometimes rented out for community use.” Some municipal-employee friends I knew at the time rented out the space and hosted a big party with a DJ and a cover charge, the whole nine. I had a particularly good time that evening, as I recall.

  2. Sorry Biff. I wasn’t in the COTD thread. One only has so much time during the day to post here and must choose his threads carefully.

That said, ask her if she like the “Lo Han Toi Tchat” position.
