More than two years ago, a big sign went up on a Flatbush Avenue storefront near the corner of Prospect Place announcing the impending arrival of a business called “Da Cake Spott.” The shop then proceeded to sit empty until recently, when workers started fixing it up again. According to one of the guys on the job, it will be a physical therapy facility.

I hope the physical therapy business keeps the current name.
Sounds yummy.
I think you can buy them in some health food stores, but don’t even bother. Get some kale and break it up into potato chip size pieces, put them on a baking sheet, drizzle them with a little (about 2 tablespoons) olive oil, salt and pepper and bake for 10 minutes.
You can also sprinkle on a little parmesan cheese, which I’ve done too.
Absolutely delicious. My new favorite snack!
I like all things “chip” – those kale chips sound delicious.
Combining two wonderful things, dark green vegetables and chips.
I am not really a fan of the cupcake in general, but Betty, on Atlantic near Nevins (not the slope) makes the only cupcake i have ever enjoyed. They are my wife’s favorite cupcakes (and she loves cupcakes). In fact everything I’ve had from Betty is awesome, except their chocolate chip cookies. they’re just bad.
However, Cousin Johns, on 7th and Berkeley makes my favorite chocolate chip cookie, but my wife says their cupcakes suck balls.
baked good balance?
> Ever had Kale Chips?
Never had them, but will give them a whirl. Can you buy them anywhere, or are they strictly DIY?
“…the BMI of stick insects.”
I’m going to steal that and use as my own!
Ever had Kale Chips?
I’ve started making them and they’re AS GOOD as potato chips and MUCH MUCH healthier. Obviously.
Rob, why is Colson a bad name? It’s the owner’s last name, for chrissake.
