genius idea.
The easily-identified lesbians are gone, but the lipstick population is on the rise. Also, the gays seem to be taking over – I’ve seen (and been) more two daddies on the street A LOT recently. (NB – no bugaboo for me. A stroller from ebay!)
Agreed re Exelsior – really need a nice space that doesn’t still reek of smoke from 10 years ago, and where I can take my kid to be coo’d over.
Also: sandwich places rock (Russo’s is my favorite for a good HUGE hero, whereas Hanco’s iss a huge let-down).
> There used to be lesbians everywhere. Where have they gone?
just read an article in village voice a few min ago that touched on this. gone down to sunset park it seems.

Ditmas Park. I know at least three that left the Slope for DP.
Gingers on 5th is full of lesbians on the weekends.
>> Patio is a good example
Man – those people are totally clueless.
1) Bar staff is never friendly
2) Often closed during key daytime drinking hours/holidays.
This is great – already checked it out on a drunken Saturday. The Slope REALLY lacks fast take out nevertheless late-night food in general. Just wish it was a little farther NORTH.
>> Can someone PLEASE open another gay bar in the slope?
Is it me or has the Slope’s gay population really decreased in recent years? There used to be lesbians everywhere. Where have they gone?
oh, and the owner is often there, and seems to care about the place…he and his wife were super nice the times i met them. this seems to be a rarity at bars (at least in the slope. Patio is a good example)
bar reis is my favorite place for drinks, on any night of the week. so happy about the sandwiches! no more late night trips to smiling pizzaria or daisy’s diner because now reis will provide us with sammiches 🙂 yum yum
