Street Improvements Continue on Washington Ave.

The latest street improvements that the city’s implemented on Washington Avenue are a sidewalk extension and street median at the intersection of Park Place. The extension carries over on the east side of Washington Avenue, in front of the police precinct building, while the median is at the intersection of Park and Washington. In June, bike lanes were painted on the thoroughfare. All of the work is part of larger DOT improvements to Washington that include shortened bus stops, adding loading zones and muni meters, and putting in new signal timing.
