Sex and the Brooklyn

It makes you wonder: Now that much of Manhattan has turned into a theme park version of “Sex and the City,” would Carrie Bradshaw and the gang still live on the island? Probably not, since Manhattan is as played out as a pair of last season’s Manolos. “It’s expensive, and it’s not what it used to be,” Sarah Jessica Parker tells the Daily News. “That’s why the outer boroughs are so desirable. The outer boroughs are pretty sexy. It’s just a matter of time before they have their own shows.” According to the article, “If ‘Sex’ were starting over today, Carrie would rock out Carroll Gardens. BFF Miranda started out in Park Slope, but later, she’s bound to settle down with Steve, Brady and a brand new car in spacious Red Hook,” while Samantha would roost in Long Island City and Charlotte would play house in Riverdale. The article has quotes from Brooklyn residents who say stuff like, “Carroll Gardens or Williamsburg have a little bit of the hip edge that Carrie has, so she’d be able to get away with her funky outfits and no one would think twice about it.” Hip, edgy, less expensive than Manhattan: You heard it here first, folks. Also, the apocalypse is nigh.

I don’t think Carrie was ever supposed to be hip and edgy, 1:44.
She was supposed to be charming and fabulous if I remember correctly.
Not everyone aspires to be hip and edgy. Some of us don’t even know what that means…
Do you?
Yeah but all you have to do is bang the non-jewish women (preferably married), they LOVE jewish men (even if it is for 1hr at the Red Hook Motor Inn) and wash away any insecurities you might develop
i personally don’t think any of the gals except miranda of course would be living in brooklyn. in many ways they represent manhattan archetypes. there’s not much outer borough about them. if carrie is so hip and edgy then why did she live on the upper east side!?
Not a crime, no.
Signing up for that television show….
Perhaps.
So you find this talk crappy, yet you signed up for the most ridiculous and shallow show I think I’ve ever seen on television??
Did I miss it, or has no one noted the biggest NEGATIVE PUBLICITIY FOR BROOKLYN IN THE HISTORY OF TV? By which I of course mean the horrible, hideous, hateful housewife on Bravo’s Real Housewifes of NYC who lives in Cobble Hill with her even more hateful husband. Everyone at work is talking about how horrible she is and how dreadful the people in Brooklyn are!
So the one blog I regularly post on has now deigned to post about movies and TV – Oh bother. I was hoping at least here I could stay clear of all the crap that’s written.
And yes Jerri I was at a bar (Jake Walk) last Sunday to be precise with another woman. Is that a crime?
Go, Fonzie, Go!
Jews are SO insecure about their nonexistent sex life with non-Jappy woman. Too funny.
Harry was the best sex she ever had.
Need any more explanation than that?
