Less than one month after major construction began at Williamsburg’s Love Chapel, the sale of the has building hit public records. The price? $4.8 million, significantly less than its $10 million asking price back in 2009. The buyer is hiding behind an LLC by the name of “Graham Terrace.” The DOB approved plans for a mixed-use conversion, adding six stories on Meserole Street and four stories on Graham Avenue. Our guess is that not much of the Depression-era theater will remain after all is said and done. You can read about the building’s history here.
