Williamsburg Mainstay RePop Moves Vintage Furniture Operation to Greenpoint
It’s the latest of many home stores to shut or move out of Williamsburg.

Vintage furniture and decor store RePop, a longtime Williamsburg fixture, has found a new home just to the north in Greenpoint, and is donating a portion of the profits from their grand opening tonight to a worthy cause.
RePop is uprooting from their former location at 143 Roebling Street in Williamsburg for new digs at 42 West Street in Greenpoint. The new store, much like the old one, is in an old industrial building with big windows — in this case, a recent factory-to-residential conversion not far from the water.

The store opens today, Friday, February 24, and from 7 to 11 p.m., 20 percent of all sales at the new West Street store will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union. The event will also feature food and drink from Fort Greene Mexican eatery Pequeña.
RePop is the latest of many native-to-Williamsburg home stores to close or move in recent years as property values have soared along with large residential towers. Among the missing are Two Jakes, The Future Perfect, Brook Farm General Store and Moon River Chattel, to name a few.
