A Brooklynian poster reminded us of an Atlantic Avenue project people got pretty excited about this summer: a jazz and blues club, called Milk River Cafe, planned for 960 Atlantic Avenue between Grand and Washington. Here’s what the commenter says: “A liquor license has already been granted, and construction on the large site has been consistently under way. It appears as if it could open as early as this summer.” This two-floor club will fit about 175 people. It will host jazz shows on the first floor, with private events on the second floor. A peek through the window yesterday revealed a large construction crew at work on the first floor, which looked pretty much gutted.
