This summer brought a few contributions from the Department of Transportation around Brooklyn. Best of all, the pedestrian median at the intersection of Vanderbilt and Atlantic avenues is finally complete. (If only the massive water main construction project over at Washington and Atlantic would wrap, too.) Also, DOT added benches to the corner of Vanderbilt Avenue and Fulton Street, Washington Avenue and Prospect Place, and Kingston Avenue.
