Open Thread

If I’m sitting waiting for something to begin or killing time, I can check my email or the OT on my phone. Or check the news or sports scores or the weather, but that’s about it. I’ve thought of getting Twitter but there’s a lot similar:

-Gmail status updates
-Facebook updates
-Twitter

An ex of mine recently signed up for Twitter; trying to resist reading it. I see people playing Tetris or games on their iPhones – I don’t find that entertaining.

I heard someone mention recently now you can arrive early for anything b/c you can kill time on your phone while you wait for the event to start.

Brazilians aren’t inexpensive to get and they’re painful.

I’ve had a rough day and feel fat. I’m going shopping at Banana Republic later. Can someone please meet me there and tell me everything I try on looks great? I could use the morale boost.

I think my friends who do use twitter use it to let everyoen know what they’re doing at all times.

Yes, Twitter is so unlike the Brownstoner Open Thread, where one can learn about cats and Lotus deliveries, read idiotic comments from Rob, and joke about Tibet.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
