  1. “Kens, thanks for the heads up, you are a total mensch. I’m going to contact him!”

JB, I would also like to menschion that I hung out with 6 years at the last gathering – in fact, with BRG, the three of us closed down the event. He’s top notch.

  2. The masks would have to be rated for biohazards and such to really be effective. Not only that, but unless they have an airtight seal with your face, forget it being effective.

How about coughing while covering your mouth. Or you could be inviting a mad mob attack.

  3. i love mass panic mode amongst new york city for some strange reason. (it makes people less likely to get all up in your business about stuff). if that makes any sense, not sure im explaining it right.

  4. “allergy season is kicking in so anyone’s guess why someone is coughing”

I’m choking to death over here, the pollen has coated my neighborhood, the out door furniture, everything.

  5. I get the pandemic part, Dave, but are the cases all mild? Nobody wants nausea, headache and all of the other symptoms, but is that worse than any other flu epidemic that goes around yearly? I say innoculate those most likely to have more serious and perhaps life threatening cases, caution people to cover their mouths, something we were raised to do anyway, at least we used to be, and wash their hands, also something we are supposed to do. We may be a nuclear, high tech society, but in terms of basic public health, we don’t seem any better than Europe in the Dark Ages.

We have to be able to get around and function. Especially now, with so many people needing every minute of work to survive. This reminds me more of the orange alerts the city was in after 9/11. Most of us were out doing what we had to do, some listened too much to the news, and stayed under their beds.
