wow – what a horrible story mopar! it’s amazing that nyc is really the only city in the country it seems that it is perfectly acceptable for adults to live with other adults in a roommate situation. i’m relatively young – and have friends who already own their own houses that live in texas, new mexico and even in florida. while i love it here, sometimes after hearing stories like what happened to your friend, i wonder if it’s really worth it..
“it’s weird cuz even when my rent in harlem was 800 bux a month (all utilities included) i was still just as broke as i am now paying 1200. so i think it moreso comes down to learning how to budget money.”
“Yeah, a good roommate can’t be beat.”
So true, so true.
You remember my terrible story about my good friend who moved in with roommates to save money but they turned out to be crackheads and they got in an argument and the next thing she knew she was homeless, broke, and without her security deposit. Then she ended up in an even more expensive rental because she had given up her rent controlled one bedroom. Horrible! Now she’s working two jobs.
Raven dresses like an old grandma
I mean she’s gotta be like 24 and looks and dresses like she’s 47 – it’s TOTALLY weird!
Dhipster – you need to catch it on F/X – they’ve been running it the past week or two and it has all the curse words – that movie is friggin AWESOMEEEEE!
Ok am SO over Susan Boyle already -like get a new song to sing for crissakes
how about Raven simone!?!?! (i used to love that’s so raven!!!!) she plays a psychic but her vibes are always off and she winds up getting into wacky hi-jinks. in 2005 three separate people bought me that’s so raven on dvd. i was like thanks! wow i have three copies! hahahah that’s so snappy!
Ugh so bored!! I DVRed “The Departed” over the weekend. It was on TNT and has all the cuss words dubbed over and all the cool stuff cut out – seriously, what’s the point of airing it then!!!
