    …..Mohawk Indians! There was a small community of Mohawks who lived in the vicinity of Atlantic and Clinton until the early 1980’s or so.

    Almost all of the men were riggers on skyscrapers (these are the guys who first put up the steel skeleton on a skyscraper). It was said that they were attracted to this line of work because the Mohawks had a very fine sense of balance, and could walk high up on the steel beams with ease.

  2. I wish…its so hard to get guys to come over when its raining. Are they all going to melt????

    I wish there would still be some group on Atlantic in a “certain trade.”
