Listen, my husband is just as complicit in the cat thing. He brought two into the relationship and I had NONE at the time.
I wanted to adopt the ONE stray kitten from the backyard.
Turns out there were two others so we did the spray/neuter thing and was going to put them back out if we couldn’t find a home for them. How do you put an animal outside in the snow and subzero weather when they’ve had surgery and now have a bald belly? You can’t! After you have them indoors that long and no takers on the adopting I had to break down and get them full vet care and make them mine.
Now, you couldn’t pry them away. Each one is special.
