I hear you. It’s the same with media. Try inviting journalists to an event w/out serving alcohol. There’d be full-scale hysteria, followed by a flood of articles about how much the event sucked.

vinca- I haven’t accused anyone of anything and I can back up everything I say. You got taken to task yesterday on that thread by the person you did attack. I seriously doubt you even read the exchange between Italiana and I because it was cordial- and rob can- and does speak for himself. Lechacal came out of the blue- he and i hadn’t even had any interchanges on the thread so how did I start that one? Oh, of course- my fault.
On the other hand you seem quite prone to hysteria and hyperbole. If you think only I get into fights on brownstoner, you don’t read very well.Character assassination? you seem to have indulged in it several times with me. So basically, STFU.

Yeah, pretty much. Realizing our little tryst had run its course, I tried to break it off. She got pissed and told the magazine’s publisher I had sexually harassed her. So I got called on the carpet. I went in and told the plain truth, that my marriage was on the rocks, I was having an affair with said employee, and that I’d tried to break it off, hence the sexual harassment charge. Surprisingly, they believed me (it was the truth after all). So I kept my job! Then about a year later they laid me off during an economic downturn.
