  1. BRG – agree with you that Eileen’s has the best cheesecake in NYC. Juniors’ cheesecake is dreck compared to it – but I do love sitting at the counter there eating my beef stroganoff and flirting with whoever is unfortunate enough to be sitting next to me : )

Chickalicious is nice but a little too precious and hipster for me.

here are my dessert faves (oink):
    – Billy’s Bakery on 9th Ave in Chelsea – the ice box cake is what I normally get for birthday parties. Imagine an oreo cookie reinvented as a cake with alternating thin layers of chocolate cake and cream filling. Billy had previously worked at Magnolia (highly overrated IMO). His partners at 9th Ave bought him out and he was able to use that money to help pay for a sex change. New name: Lauren. TMI
    – Sant Ambroeus – Madison Ave and W.4 – gelato made freshly every day. I never eat in as it’s too SATC in there for me.
    – Sweetheart Cafe – 8th Ave just south of 14th St – the alfajor there is pretty authentic as the owner is from Buenos Aires. The other desserts not so great. Yummy empanadas too.
    – Cones Ice Cream – W.4 – South American ice cream – sweet corn flavor is great. Also owned by Argentineans.
    – Sriprapai – Woodside (forget the exact address but it’s near the 61st St stop on the 7 train) – Thai sticky rice with mango – when it’s in season and they haven’t run out already.
    – Hasaki – E.9 and 3rd Ave – their green tea ice cream has more cream. – goes well with the red beans on top.
    – Whimsy & Spice – Brooklyn Flea – chocolate and whisky cookies!
    – Cakeman Raven – Fulton St – red velvet cake!
    – Moto – Broadway in Williamsburg – see yesterday’s review – warm date cake with toffee sauce.
    – Cafe Sabarsky – 5th Ave inside the Neue Galerie – Austrian cakes and coffee.
    – Shutter’s in Santa Monica – Vosges makes a chocolate bar especially for the hotel – sea salt and almonds. It tastes great especially after you’ve raided the mini-fridge from hunger pains late at night because of some stupid low carb diet and you’re scarfing it down while sleeping in one of their beds…
    – Tartine Bakery – 18th & Guerrero in SF – everything is amazing – my favorite bakery anywhere.
    – Laduree – Paris – macaroons…
    – My mom’s flan – she uses condensed milk and steams it.
    – Zeno’s – Daytona, FL – chocolate dipped ridged potato chips.

Talk about off topic. Back to work for me.

  2. “Are we separating BRG from her employemnt?”
WHAT???? Why would I be fired? Cause I did someone else job and then bitched about doing it. I thought that’s how it’s done in the corporate world.

  3. Are we separating BRG from her employemnt? I feeel we should recommend to the HR Dept. that a spate of corrective coursework might be in order and of postive outcome. BRG is a valuable member of the team, highly effective in negative-leaning circumstances and certainly deserves a team pat on the back. (strategically and neutrally placed).

  4. BRG;

I am going to refer this matter to the HR Dept. at Brownstoner. Your statement is not indicative of the team spirit we are trying to instill here at Brownstoner OT, Inc. I will also recommend that they some coursework for you, such as “Getting to Win-Win: the power of Teamwork”.
