Anybody notice that Mr. B is taking a more active role in the mainstream threads? He called out the What yesterday in the Ft. Green remembrance thread, and today it’s the “hideous brick” thread.
“ENY–you are right, but I so much prefer a team built from the ground up then one stitched together via free-agency.”
I completely understand your viewpoint, but you know what? I don’t give a crap how they pull the team together! A winner is a winner, and if they win it all, no one will care how the team was formed. I became a Yankee fan in 1976 and I’ve seen every form of team – from the free agent heavy squads of the 1977-78 era to the gound-up teams featuring Jeter, Mariano, Bernie, Pettite, etc. The only thing that matters is winning. In fact, if this year’s version wins it all, I “perdict” baseball people will probably start using the Yankees as a “blueprint” to win it all!
LOL, while I appreciate the thought BRG I’d much rather have a batch of your mom’s cookies. I’ve been thinking about them since yesterday.
(I’m sick and drinking lots of tea. Would love a good cookie to go with)
Biff…I saw that remark over in the HOTD about the PS house being “too close to Flatbush.” I hope you weren’t trying to start something.
11217 makes a snide remark about sam’s age and then presumes to know more than him about everything.
My goodness, I need a grammar checker today!
THL, do you want to meet Jim Gaffigan? I could put in a good word for you.
O.k…I’ll accept that answer. I thought you were reverting to a lurking status.
THL;
Sorry, but I’m squeezed this afternoon at work. No time for talking!
Benson, stop trolling and start talking.
