  1. Where the hell is the What??? I’m dying to hear his take on the Bushwick discussion. (I know, odd right? Looking forward to a What rant! Who knew!?)

  2. Just taking a break from work to insert some actual Brownstoner-related content. Happy to report that yesterday I did some history research on our house at the Brooklyn Historical Society. Was able to determine that someone was living in our house at least as early as 1873 and that the structure has probably existed since at least 1869. We may have id’d the builder, but details are still quiet sketchy. Also, looks like the lot got flipped from the estate sale of a farm through a local alderman to the publisher of a local newspaper, 1849-51. Anyway, we can say with reasonable confidence our house is at least 140 years old.

OK, you can all now go back to highly relevant topics like peanut butter, cats, harems, etc.

  3. LOL Dave! My mom is convinced that medicines I took made me gay. Either that or devil possession. Seriously!

THL, I’ll have some graham crackers and marshmallows, but no chocolate! yucky!

  4. Snappy…do overprotective mothers cause their daughters to become lesbians or just their sons to become gay??? There might be an opportunity over there for you.

  5. The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire…

I’m with you Snappy. I’ll grab the marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate. We’ll have ourselves some s’mores.

  6. Yes Snappy, both. My favorite is Chili by MAC. It’s a brownish red.

DH- My dad is a pistachio fanatic. I used to love it as a kid when he’d sit on the sofa elbows propped on knees leaning forward towards the TV and watch a ball game with a big bag of pistachios. He’d let the shells drop into a brown paper grocery bag sitting between his feet. If you sat next to him he’d hand every other one off to you while he explained the game.

Back then he always had red stains on his fingertips. These days he gets the natural ones.
