Dave, now you’re being silly. I pointed out the Time article precisely BECAUSE it ain’t exactly known as a ‘liberal bastion’. Listen, you’re welcome to your delusions. About half the country seems quite happy to join you. And frankly, I”m getting to the point that I can’t really care anymore. Lowering taxes and/or extending the absurd upper echelon ones Bush put in place is actually “helping” my family. I just see it for what it is.
Whew, jackal. Glad it wasn’t too bad. Bleeding from the head can look really scary because so many vessels are so close to the surface. So you can get a ton of bleeding from a minor injury and freak out, especially since it is the head (no pun intended) where, at least for us hue-mons, the brain is located.
If anyone is looking for something fun to do this weekend, tomorrow is the annual Strolling of the Heifers parade in Brattleboro Vermont. Marching bands, old time tractors, Bernie Sanders, and of course lots of cows and their farmers. My dad’s float is always the last one in the parade. This year his float will have a bunch of ex-hippies playing music and Alfred the black trannie schoolteacher, who usually wears a black and white cow patterned dress for the event.
If you are OT regular, you will even get an invitation to the jackal afterparty at the family farm.
One problem with using federal tax rates to stimulate demand is that many of the people living paycheck to paycheck already pay zero in federal taxes, or very close to it (excluding SS & Medicare).
