A number of European countries seem to be doing much better than Japan with zero or negative growth rates.
Not possible. There has to be population growth either through births or immigration.

lech, the Claymation videos were more fun.
japan is one of those countries where I think “oh, I only think you’re crazy because i’m biased” and then i read more about it and realize that no, japan is just crazy.
i think people are just worried no one is gonna be around to wipe their asses for them when they are old and senile and incontinent. seems like a truly silly thing to worry about.

That’s exactly Japan’s problem and they won’t let lower cost foreign workers come in because they are racists.
