there are a lot of people out there that aren’t “book” and “grade” smart who are quite rich.
sometimes i think a lot of those people totally play dumb cuz they feel guilty about being rich. you see it a lot with new money, no? like they’re worth millions and millions (and they made it all themselves, didnt really get it handed down to them, maybe started from scratch) and then be all like yooo NASCAR! i dont know, my chary alarm goes off around them..
i know i complain about being broke all the time, but being rich looks like it can be really REALLY annoying. like way more shit than it seems possible to be able to handle thinking about in one day. there is a certain bliss in being broke. i think if i had millions of dollars, im not sure id be any different. flashy lifestyles look difficult to maintain and id be way chary about the kinds of pigeons it attracts if you know what im saying.
Well, given certain definitions for both “smart” and “rich” there are a lot of people out there that aren’t “book” and “grade” smart who are quite rich.
There’s colors on the street
Red, white and blue
People shufflin’ their feet
People sleepin’ in their shoes
But there’s a warnin’ sign
on the road ahead
There’s a lot of people sayin’
we’d be better off dead
Don’t feel like Satan,
but I am to them
So I try to forget it,
any way I can.
Keep on rockin’ in the free world,
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free world,
Keep on rockin’ in the free world.
I see a woman in the night
With a baby in her hand
Under an old street light
Near a garbage can
Now she puts the kid away,
and she’s gone to get a hit
She hates her life,
and what she’s done to it
There’s one more kid
that will never go to school
Never get to fall in love,
never get to be cool.
Keep on rockin’ in the free world,
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free world,
Keep on rockin’ in the free world.
We got a thousand points of light
For the homeless man
We got a kinder, gentler,
Machine gun hand
We got department stores
and toilet paper
Got styrofoam boxes
for the ozone layer
Got a man of the people,
says keep hope alive
Got fuel to burn,
got roads to drive.
Keep on rockin’ in the free world,
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free world,
Keep on rockin’ in the free world.

“IBS, Legion and I dispense our wisdom on the OT for free.” — that’s something we can sink our teeth into.
“You don’t really have to be all that smart to get “rich.” ” — this you know how, exactly?
