  1. yes lech

rob i assumed at your school it was a naturally occurring gay dorm like lech describes? or the school officially made it a gay residence?

  2. “It’s social life was so fantastic that it was commonly called “The Cromem Leper Colony”.”

Now THAT really explains why you are like you are 🙂

  3. “Reading MM’s post, reminds me that I had NO real contact with black people until college. ”

me neither – there was like one black dude in my high school.

  4. I spent all my college time falling in love, at least I thought so, with various unattainable women, and being a total pussy about it. I least college was free back home.

  5. Reading MM’s post, reminds me that I had NO real contact with black people until college. When I told my sociology professor (a warm, brilliant, black woman from the Islands) that, she was reacted in an interesting way. She said that she was touched that I told her that.

  6. “yeah every dorm was a gay dorm”

Cool – So you went to Smith?

There was a gay dorm at UMASS. Mary Lyons. Actually it was just a gay floor but since everyone knew Mary Lyons was the gay dorm only gays really wanted to live there and the whole place ended up being pretty gay.

  7. I did live in a dorm in grad school, however. I lived at Crothers Memorial Hall (or “CroMem”) at Stanford University. It was a dorm just for graduate engineering students. It’s social life was so fantastic that it was commonly called “The Cromem Leper Colony”.
