let’s face it tho… moonfaces create jobs by spending (too much) money on everything and the LAST thing they’re gonna do is steal other people’s jobs. in stiumulus terms it’s the moonface multiplier effect.
it doesnt matter what jobs they do or dont do, they cause rent to be sky fucking high, not to mention they cause regular run of the mill food stuffs to go up in price. and they are really ugly to look at.
Although most of Gen Y’s younger siblings, Gen Z, are totally different from them. A lot of my Gen Y friends are getting engaged, married, or moving away.
lamb – I’m sure you’re right. I grew up in inner city London which is a different world from the villages of England.
One of the other things that hit me was the difference in vocabulary I was hearing between black and white Americans when I first came here (’95). Sir Trevor McDonald’s well-clipped queen’s English (he was posher than me for sure) it was not.
Everyone is aware of race, but that isn’t the problem. the problem is prejudice and non-acceptance of other races, and sad to say it seems a human failing that cuts across racial lines.

exactly ditto!!!! if there was no tax on their parental support monies and trust funds in their home state… they might actually stay there! at least if it was heavily taxed in nyc it might control moonface immigration a bit. everything else (except brownstones for some stupid reason) is taxed out the wazoo, why not tax them too? i think im gonna run in the next mayorial election
