I voted for Reagan. That was all many years ago. Just like Clinton. Not worth the time and effort to discuss at this point. Christ, no one’s even interested in talking about Bush anymore. Get your ass out of the past and start looking forward. This is a testing of NYC during this crisis and my bet is that it will come out just fine and will remain “Capital of the World.” Neighborhoods throughout Brooklyn are doing fine. They’re on a path to betterment no matter what their makeup looks like. No one cares to argue that kind of divisive crap either.

Biff–they are doing the autopsy today so we should know something soon. when learning to ski I think the most common accident is when the skis get ahead of the body and you fall down backwards–which could bring the back of your head into contact with hard packed snow (not unlike hitting plain old hard ground). Could have caused some kind of slow leakage of blood which would explain why she didn’t feel anything until later. Either way, awful awful story and she sounded like a wonderful person.
Reminds me of the “Shortest list in the world” jokes, wasder. I hope we don’t rehash this whole racist crap all over again this late in the afternoon because of your snide remark. 🙂
wasder, I heard a doctor talking about the accident. Of course it’s all conjecture, but the way it happened and the fact she couldn’t be saved made the doctor suspect she had a pre-existing condition. Either way, it’s so sad, especially for her children.

I went snowboarding once (and only once) and banged my head to the point of seeing stars. Kids, don’t go on the slopes without a helmet!
