I can see what kind of a day it’s going to be on the OT. ;Look Down Our Noses day. Because you’re all such Gods and Goddesses and none of you Hasid or Orthodox- so you
kens — that’s what I would expect. Certainly was our experience during round 1 of our buy/reno ordeal. Everyone our seller brought in for the “reno” he was doing was part of that community. He even wanted us to pick tile from his friend’s lumberyard on CIA. We went just to humor him and, while the lumberyard did have a small tile showroom, the poor guy had never heard of subway tile. Weeks later the seller told me how happy his lumberyard guy was; he brought in a bunch of subway tile after learning abou it from us and it sold out right away. Who knew?? Very clear to me why so many flip jobs in brownstone Brooklyn are done to the wrong market’s taste.
I’ve heard about there being some connection between diet sodas and weight problems but I don’t remember anything about the science behind it. Something about your body wanting to eat more food when you trick it with diet products maybe.
There was an article recently in the Times saying that diet sodas were a factor in obesity – various things such as increased stomach capacity, stimulation of gastric juices causing greater hunger, etc.
An 1820’s clapboard? I’m swooning. I don’t even get to look at that kind of historic luxury in Clinton Hill. My current lease however goes till August 6th (though I’m trying to sublet now to any Pratt students who want it for the summer but that doesn’t appear to be working -_-)
And thanks CGar. I look forward to such notifications.

Slopey, The suit is not against the firm but just that partner personally. if you cant handle it, let me speak with “L” of the firm
jackal, funny, I always have the same thought when I see someone, usually with a heaping plate of fried food, drinking diet soda.
FTR, I almost never drink soda – other than alcoholic beverages, I almost exclusively drink organic, river-bred water.
Though I do enjoy the occasional Diet Coke – with or without Jack Daniels – or Diet Dr. Pepper.
