  1. Gardening Rant

Where I live, I’m on the board of the Homeowner’s Association. Yes, I believe in civic activism.
So we have these center medians running down the street with trees planted and nice grass.
The association pays for their upkeep.
This year we decided not to pay a private landscaping company because the Parks Department who is technically supposed to maintain them, stated that they would go ahead and do it.
Today was their first day on the job.
They brought an effin’ 3 Ton field mower to mow the medians between the trees! For a job which is meant for a 50 pound lawn mower.
So I walk up to the field supervisor as the 3 ton field plow is backing up into the trunk of one of the trees and I ask the supervisor:
“Don’t you think that giant tractor is too big for this job? Especially since it’s rolling over the automatic sprinkler system and probably crushing it?”
    To which they responded:
    “Well, yeah, I guess.”

Next time they’re bringing the lawn mowers.
    Your city services at work.
