Biff: I often look all around while typing, like Stevie Wonder on a keyboard. I wonder if my comments would be more interesting if I actually paid more attention to what I type.
You can type messages to the OT on the DL. Good skill. 🙂

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.
With the old typewriters, you actually had to hit keys and the pressure with which you hit the keys had to be pretty even so you wouldn’t have some letters super dark and some light, so that sentence allowed you to practice finding the keys and typing with equal pressure despite where it was on the keyboard. Now of course it doesn’t matter.

ha yea, basically learned to type chatting with people in IRC and posting on prodigy message boards. of course i never learned to capitalize words either, but it never affected school assisgments.
I took a typing class for a half semester in high school, I never took it seriously. I would type obscene messages repeatedly when there was no paper so that the messages would become engraved in the cylinder.

I took a class in high school but never learned properly. I can type pretty fast using “hunt and peck.”
