  1. Based on what happened in the campaign and since, I stand by my believe that Obama was naive and/or dishonest.

I don’t think that he did anything worse than any other person seeking the office, and he was certainly better than most.

I don’t have to like what it takes to win office, and I do not think I am wrong to wish for an environment where politicians can be more honest with the public.

  2. Meh, Obama’s a centrist. Always has been, always will be. I never understood why people thought otherwise.

Occasional principled stands are nice, but generally has been boringly uninspiring.

(and yeah. have definitely had some moments of kid-selling-desire this morning. 😉

  3. I think the President is in a difficult position right now.
While he’s gotten a boost from his aggressive handling of terrorists overseas.
There appear to be grumblings from the usual precincts on the left side (Europeans, Academia, Media Left)about the aggressive stance.
This may work to erode his strong base on left here as they continue to read comments from people like Michael Moore about how he has become another Washington politician. This recent success may be seen as proof that he abandoned previous convictions.

  4. “The news reports always talk about people selling babies on the black market, but they never explain how to do it.”

Snort! Looking to put your up for sale, bfarwell!? : P (I’m pretty sure my parents considered this from time to time!)

  5. Not for nothing, BHS but do you honestly think the American public wants to hear the truth? I don’t think he fed into that any more than any other candidate. Everyone’s campaign is based around change. Were McCain’s promises about keeping the status quo? Don’t think so. and considering he and Palin were the only option besides Obama, well. That was no option.

  6. jb, thanks, and don’t know to what you are referring by the “no”. mobile phones can be used for these things. in older times when the movie was made there weren’t cell phones, of course. devices were placed here and there by unlikely looking people. newer tech changes things.

  7. Testing 1-2-3 . . .

Internet access at my firm has been down all but sporadically today. That was a first.

Made me wonder, though, as I had nothing else to do but stare at my monitors and . . . work (!) . . . what the hell people do all day when they don’t have a diversionary blog.

In case this posts and I’m never heard from again, have a great weekend everyone!
