Austin is a nice, walkable town by US standards. IOW, not bad but hardly a pedestrian-friendly ambiance. Compared to Dallas and Houston, however, a paradise.
they’re the tall hard things with the individual green bits at the top, dave.
The greenish bits are not present at all times, but anything taller that 15′ that splits into a lot of smaller pieces toward the upper half is probably a tree.
Austin is fun. So is San Antonio. Both really cheap in terms of food and drink. South by southwest may be moving to san antonio next year. Been in Austin forever.
Arkady and any other gardeners/horticulturists….I posted something in the Forum about an hour ago so maybe it’ll show up around 10:30…looking for someone to identify a tree.
Walked through part of Austin, found out the hostel was full, got back on a greyhound bus and rode it to LA. From that experience, I can conclusively state that Austin is fairly nice.
bfarwell, you are a barrel of laughs this motning, aren’t you.

“Walked through part of Austin, found out the hostel was full, got back on a greyhound bus and rode it to LA.”
Aren’t these some of the lines in the song “All I Wanna Do” by Sheryl Crow?
