I think I would be paying about $800 a month even for the one offered at retirement through B of A…ridiculous.
That’s what people pay for COBRA when they are unemployed. Pretty sad when the maximum unemployment payment is $405/week (and it’s subject to income tax).
We went to the Municipal Building over on Joralemon Street with notarized forms and passports in hand. Stood in the same line as the folks looking to get actually married. It took maybe 30 minutes altogether! They type it all in, show you the screen for approval/spelling check, print out the docs, and wished us good luck!
Cobble, how do you become domestic partners in NYC or NYS?? In Philadelphia we had to submit things to the City and they granted it. I’m not sure it even exists outside of Philly in PA.
My battery is going to die soon.
If you aen’t employed are your medical insurance payments deductible??

My COBRA was $550, including vision and dental. Oxford plan would likely be more then $1200, post COBRA, now. We got “hitched” 3 years ago.
