So there is Dunkin Donuts coming to Cortelyou Rd. and now there are rumors that Starbucks is scoping out locations on Corteyou as well. Looks like we’re turning into a corp. store neighborhood as well.
Re the kimono expression, at the trading company I worked
people used that expression all the time. What they wanted clients to do. Tell us everything so we could sell them stuff. The other one was that everybody was always “T-ing things up”.
Isn’t it odd how once in awhile you hear an expression you don’t recall having heard before and then you suddenly notice hearing it all the time?
Case in point: I believe it was Lech who earlier this week or late last week mentioned during a negotiation that the other party “opened their kimono”, as in showed their hand prematurely or divulged confidential information in business negotiations. Since then I’ve heard it twice on the trading floor.
Like nails across the blackboard…

Most annoying song to me is the “Woo Hoo” song from the Vonage commercials. Would NEVER subscribe to Vonage for this reason alone.
dibs that was just plain diabolical!
CGar,
Sending over a Mr. Softee triple sundae.
With sprinkles! :o)
Then there’s the violin music from The Grand Prospect Hall ad……
