Fat Boy Christie is addressing The Graduate School of Education at harvard this afternoon about issues with teachers. So far 4 x the number of people have signed up to attend than the usual attendance to this sort of event.

1000% TRUE!!!!!!Un-freakin-believeably HORRIBLE!!!! It runs every 10 minutes on CBS radio. I can be in the middle of doing a complicated turn onto a highway or something but I will reach over and SLAM OFF the radio the second that thing comes on. It goes [in total monotone flat singing] 1 800 Ka–ar for Kids… I can now turn it off at the first syllable “WA”. SLAM. OFF.

One of my faves from white shoe days is “I’m out of pocket” as in I’m otherwise engaged when all the hard work needs to be done so you have to do it. When said with the right amount of matter of factness, it is unassailable, as long as you are sufficiently high up to have the authority to declare yourself out of pocket, but for those on the threshold, the right tone makes this one work.
