dona, don’t get me started about the nationalization of the private pension funds – i.e., outright theft by the government. Kirchner should be in jail for doing that.
She nominally nationalized the asset managers that were managing pension funds – but guess what she then turned around and invested all of the funds in….. yup, Argentine government debt. Sickening.
In the case of Argentina’s agricultural sector, the taxation was targeted, punative, destructive of wealth and value in general — bad for the country, bad for business, bad for the economy. It was sickening. And unfair. It wasn’t even as if she was stealing. She was destroying the sector.

What’s Up!??!??!?
Having my first cup of coffee now – wooo hoooo
Wow, 330 posts and I can’t read all of them so will jump in on any convo I suppose. I kinda liken the OT as a game of jump rope – just jump in when you can and keep jumping
Um is Jessi here? I feel bad, but I took my mom’s digital subscription for the NY Times as she still gets the paper delivered every day – am sorry we couldn’t go dutch as I used her email address to set it up etc….
“she wacked farmers with a 40% export tax (naturally to re-redistributed to less fortunate — please add sentimental music and lift eyes upward). By doing this, she effectively helped to shoot the country’s only seriously productive economic sector in the foot.”
I could just repeat 100% of what I said the other day. You know, about other people’s wealth being like a wild animal, the act of redistribution destroys production, etc.

Hiya CGar!
more4, are you serious? You’re jumping ship?

Couldn’t agree more.

“Do you get 4 seasons in BA???”
I disagree with DeLepp. I say you get 4 seasons, if not in BA proper, you get winter not too far to the west of BA, where there’s great skiing.
this Kirschner is a decent looker. given she’s kind of like a dictator, correct to say she’s a DILF
They got snow in BA a couple of years ago but it was like a dream; many had never seen snow in their lives.
