Birthers and Trump are jackasses. I can see why the red tie Republicans are afraid to confront them openly. Just like how they never confronted that other jackass, the erstwhile governor of Alaska. They are afraid of alienating the less well heeled, “populist” part of the party.

Let’s assume he was indeed “playing” the opposition for fools.
Would it not be ten times more devastating to continue letting the opposition talk themselves into huge hole from which they could not dig out?
It seems to me that he’s doing the Republicans a huge favor by marginalizing Trump early on in the Republican selection game.

My goldfish are 8 years old -& can live much more than 20 years (see Huxley’s After Many a Summer). They don’t eat at all over the winter & only periodically in the summer. It’s important to have a large surface area at the top of the tank for the exchange of oxygen & gases. If you had an aerator I’m guessing you wouldn’t have to change the water so often.
