“I am going to a cigar-dinner at Giando’s in Williamsburg in a couple of weeks. It is a fund-raiser for Our Lady Of Mount Carmel. It’s going to be a red-meat RMLC type of affair. I’m looking forward to it.”
i always wondered who actually went to that place!

Do folks here truly believe that European tourists are anywhere near as repugnant as American tourists? You know American tourists – they’re the ones who expect every person in every country they visit to speak fluent English. And they’re the same people who complain when people come to America and continue to speak in their mother tongue.
eh, working in soho i see my fair share of HORRIBLE european tourists… however, you are kinda right. the midwestern tourists who come down? holy fucking jesus.
Most blocks have a neighborhood “handyman” who does odd jobs and such for Lotto money.
I’m sure if you ask around you’ll get a familiar name.
They should always be supervised though!
You could also call Roto-Rooter and pay exactly $860 dollars to change the toilet chain.

If you’re a waiter in NY you hate european tourists. Our waiter got a $10 tip at keens after a $350 meal.
and yes i got the mayflower confused with the nina the pinta and the santa maria. the mayflower was the the original moonface cruise!
