I went to my brother’s house for Easter. Always “interesting”. He lives in an upscale suburb in New Jersey, full of top-level corporate executives like my brother.
Most of the conversation consists of my brother and sister-in-law telling us about the latest adventures of their fabulous kids (in their early to late 20’s). What grad program they made, what set of European countries they are going to visit for Spring break, what charity board they are angling to get on to polish up the resume.
By the end of the day, I usually have the gun to my head, and am close to pulling the trigger.
“One of the “kids” is late 20s, lives in Williamsburg, a theatrical costume designer (?), and very hip, droll. We were talking about the Flea and she said he has gone to the Williamsburg one and pointed out to everyone that the “demographic” they are going after is her.”
Sounds like just the type of person I’d want to have a prolonged dinner with.
I went to Easter dinner at my “second family”, a childhood friend’s family dinner. One of the “kids” is late 20s, lives in Williamsburg, a theatrical costume designer (?), and very hip, droll. We were talking about the Flea and she said he has gone to the Williamsburg one and pointed out to everyone that the “demographic” they are going after is her.
I am starting to think that Brownstoner is post-Brownstone.
My daughter LOVES Smoke Joint. We used to go there after Hebrew school before her bat mitzvah. Now she brings friends there for seasoned fries–it’s down the block from Brooklyn Tech.

people with brownstones are always spending money on their beautiful little money pits. not on 50 dollar t-shirts

Nice weekend. Did some tiling, some painting, some more crown molding. Did the church thing yesterday.
Maybe it’s a typo – Injured Neck at Haddam Hollow.
DCB joined the ranks of those who disappeared not long after meeting the PLUSAs.
