  1. “there is a good chance that the contractor will be Italian, and its better to have someone who can relate to them”

Benson, I’m picturing you in a double breasted suit and your borsalino yelling at a contractor gesturing with your right hand up near your mouth the whole time. And he’s yelling back at you, even though you’re both completely agreeing with each other. You fix the problem and then go get cappucino and play bocce and eat meatballs.

Was that kind of how it went down?

  2. ” After all, there is a good chance that the contractor will be Italian, and its better to have someone who can relate to them, has their sense of things.”

    benson, That statement is crumby.

  3. This conversation has gone stale, and lech’s arguments are just toast.

bfarwell, Pass me a slice of that Banana bread!

Pete, You earn money by doing nothing but continuing to breathe! It’s called retirement income.

  4. I would like to amend what I stated above:

Not only should every condo have an engineer among its residents, but it would be much better if the engineer was Italian. After all, there is a good chance that the contractor will be Italian, and its better to have someone who can relate to them, has their sense of things.

If all condos and coops had such a set-up, there would be fare fewer problems reported in the forum.

I think there should be a law requiring an Italian engineer in every condo or coop.
