I think Nancy Pelosi is a bit of a nutter (though her views are more in line with mine). I think the difference is that Nancy Pelosi actually takes a moment to do a little research before she speaks. It doesn’t always work and she is extreme in many instances… but Michelle Bachmann just spouts out crazy things that aren’t based on fact — like basic facts that you learn in grade school.
Michelle Bachman’s crazy. Sarah Palin is crazy. They’re not crazy because they’re women. They’re crazy because they’re crazy. Just like Trump is crazy because he’s crazy, not because he’s male.
They’re not feminists because they’re not feminists. They may be female, they may be in positions of power, but they’re not supporting traditional feminist issues. In the same way that your local left-wing female idealogue is not an anti-feminist, even if she has two kids and might be staying at home with them.
“Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn’t even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas.”
DH,
I hate to break this to you but CO2 is the byproduct of the animal respiratory cycle. Plants require CO2 to produce their own food and Oxygen for us to breathe.
Certainly anything in large quantities can be harmful, for instance Oxygen itself.
Put into context, and particularly in view of the fact that much of the planet’s heating and cooling has little to do with CO2 in the first place, and you begin to see that her statement is not so outlandish.
“so it would be fair to say the reverse, that Democratic women
are:
-Anti-baby in-the-womb life
-Anti-Muslim, Anti-Catholic, Anti-Baptist, etc.
-Anti-Religion
-Anti-Men’s rights”
Democratic women are ? Well, legion, you really need to prove that because those are some of the most ludicrous assertions I’ve ever read. And it may surprise you to know that many Democratic women are not in favor of abortion, they are in favor of the right of a woman to make that decision for herself. And not everyone believes an embryo is a person from the moment of conception. That’s a religious/political viewpoint.
Does being pro-gay make them anti-religion? Well, too bad. I guess they believe more in the Bill of Rights then.
Anti-men’s rights? Because they want equal pay for equal work? Once again, the Bill of Rights is worth a read, legion.
when it comes to politics, both parties right now deserves some shit on their faces. instead of governing this country in these dired times, both parties are jockeying for optimal position on issues etc for the 2012 elections. that’s disgraceful. this is the one thing I’m very disappointed with Obama recently – ie he’s acting very “old same-as-before politics” crap he campaigned against.
Also, while we’re at it, Martha Stewart’s a bitch, and the head of NOW-NYS is totally shrill.
There. Done for the day.
Legion — Can I play?

I think she is more ‘lucky’ than ‘accomplished’

The phrase men’s rights is also bs.

And then there’s Hank Johnson (D-GA) who thinks Guam could tip over…..

Legion: But let’s start from the point where we can agree that neither party holds the patent on brains and innovative ideas.
Sounds good to me.
If girls with large breasts work at Hooters, then do girls with one leg work at IHOP?
