  1. dh and randi, there are some interesting vendors there (craftsman and such) but mostly it’s an odd club scene so that people can be seen eating.

There are vendors(craftsman and jewlery) who make some nice stuff that I’ll use for gits, but who needs to pay $50 for a used shirt. Some vendors act as if they’re curating the met’s costume institute.

  2. …you know which is a good flea market?
    Aqueduct Racetrack flea market.

It’s been there for 20 plus years and is unfortunately closing down because of the billion dollar Racino/Racetrack that’s going there.
But it’s a great place to get stuff cheap and without taxes.
    Examples:

    -fake watches $10 bucks

    -fake sunglasses $5

    -Music mixes $5

    -sneakers $20-40

-kitchen utensils all sorts for $3 to $10

    -T-shirts $3-8

-pocket knives and throwing stars $3-15

    -Duct tape $2

-ladies unmentionables: no idea on the price, but cheap

    -perfume $10-20, in the box.

  3. “though I could do without the weekly parade of thin gays, pork pie hats and bierdos invading my hood for the flea on saturdays.”

dude – wtf is up with the flea?!?! no one is even looking at anything. people just stand around and look impressed with themselves!?!?
