dh and randi, there are some interesting vendors there (craftsman and such) but mostly it’s an odd club scene so that people can be seen eating.
There are vendors(craftsman and jewlery) who make some nice stuff that I’ll use for gits, but who needs to pay $50 for a used shirt. Some vendors act as if they’re curating the met’s costume institute.
…you know which is a good flea market?
Aqueduct Racetrack flea market.
It’s been there for 20 plus years and is unfortunately closing down because of the billion dollar Racino/Racetrack that’s going there.
But it’s a great place to get stuff cheap and without taxes.
Examples:
-fake watches $10 bucks
-fake sunglasses $5
-Music mixes $5
-sneakers $20-40
-kitchen utensils all sorts for $3 to $10
-T-shirts $3-8
-pocket knives and throwing stars $3-15
-Duct tape $2
-ladies unmentionables: no idea on the price, but cheap
MM and I had a booth when the Flea first began, randi, and we know several other people. None of us sell at the Flea any more.

Is anyone else having a problem refreshing? It’s stalling out here.

“thin gays”
Are those the ones that think they have to make a REALLY HUDE DEAL about how gay they are 100% of the time?
I made a lot of money in a glory hole booth there one weekend.
i don’t get how or if anyone (besides food vendors) make any money at the flea??? anyone ever get a booth there and sell stuff?
thanks dibs and cobble,
The food network link posts Giada’s recipe at number 1.
It seems very easy.
Gonna try it this weekend for sure.
“though I could do without the weekly parade of thin gays, pork pie hats and bierdos invading my hood for the flea on saturdays.”
dude – wtf is up with the flea?!?! no one is even looking at anything. people just stand around and look impressed with themselves!?!?
