I used to have a pocket knife. A little Swiss Army knife. It was pink. I loved it, one of my male co-workers gave it to me for Christmas (?) but it kept getting confiscated at the airport (I had my keys attached to it and I would forget).
I heard that a lot of those Aqueduct flea market vendors are going to Coney Island. Except the stuff has to be new.
That was a real institution in Queens, wasn’t it?
I went downtown earlier, and on my return to Grand Central from City Hall, our car, the end car of the train was menaced by two separate groups of beggars.
One was the Homeless organization guy who spent from City Hall to 14th loudly and angrily proclaiming that nobody asked him to do the selfless thing of walking around giving away food and he didn’t do drugs or steal or mug people etc. etc. But he looked about 15 seconds from punching people out. And went on haranguing people until 14th st.
After him, two guys with HUGE drums came in and started on with some kind of entertainment rap which demanded your attention and if you didn’t look up in rapt appreciation you were disrespectful. They berated and harrassed the hapless bunch of MTA rider losers the whole way from 14th to 42nd. This shit makes me nostalgic for Giuliani.
that would be so freakin batman if a thug is dissin’ yo girl and you throw a ninja star at him.
Legion,

Legion, the 14th to 42nd st stop is not that long. Donatella can meditate during that time to block it all out

Dona, what do you mean by “berated?”
“They berated and harrassed the hapless bunch of MTA rider losers the whole way from 14th to 42nd. This shit makes me nostalgic for Giuliani.”

Did you happen to catch my earlier post about the Aqueduct flea market?
“-pocket knives and throwing stars $3-15”
;o)
lol lamb,
As Shakespeare said,
sometimes…”The better part of valor is discretion.”
In many situations, unfortunately, it is the one who has the least to lose who maintains the upper hand.
“This shit makes me nostalgic for Giuliani.”
Or Bernie Goetz.
