“law degree >>>> finance degree”
Depends on how you’re measuring that. In terms of compensation, I know some lawyers who are now in banking for the money (I mean front office trading/origination, not only compliance). Also, there are tons of bankers making more than doctors. Not saying it’s justified, just the reality.
I bet if you gave a pretty simple mathematical problem to everyone in a Metro North train car at 7 am and everyone in a Metro North train car at 9 am a much higher percentage of the 7 am people would solve the problem.

CGar, you should have emailed or texted me. I was here. I totally would have stepped out for a cup of coffee.
“Spoken like a non-lawyer.”
Should I have said it in Latin and billed Brownstoner for the time it took me to post that?
ET, my friend, thanks
so hard being a windbag
appreciation
jackal, I walked by your office around 7 last night. Looked but didn’t see you. Briefly considered dropping in . . . 🙂
law degree >>>> finance degree
“I really was interested if you feel that a law degree isn’t real. Seems pretty valuable and practical to me.”
Spoken like a non-lawyer.
The law degree itself is pretty useful. I was busting on lawyers for their undergrad degrees, which, like mine, are mostly useless.
