  1. Be careful with Pilates, dona. An older friend of mine gave herself an intestinal hernia doing pilates. Thinking she was doing herself a favor and getting a flat tummy, she worked harder at it. Instead she ended up having surgery.

when I went with a friend from richmond to buy a car in north carolina…

We got stopped by the local sherif…

Sheriff: What u Asian boys doin down here?

Coming soon, the new movie “My Cousin Chinky”

  3. Today I did something pretty interesting.

I took a Pilates reformer class. You work out on a machine which is a rectangular device rigged with sliding pulleys and parts, designed to stretch and strengthen different parts of the body. It is supposed to build core strength and increase range of motion of other parts of the body. It was hard but the instructor was very helpful (and trained in physical therapy — Pilates was actually designed for physical therapy).

Has anybody had an experience with this? Or Pilates mat classes?

  4. when I went with a friend from richmond to buy a car in north carolina, he got those tags in north carolina before drive the car back to richmond. I would assume same logic holds here. this is similar to buying a car from an out of state dealership – ie dealership gives us the temp plates

  5. I did but it was shipped, not driven.

I’m assuming that if you’re getting any sort of tag here you’ll have to have the title and perhaps bill of sale already.

You should be able to search DMV fairly easily for the info

  6. Anyone ever bought a car as a private sale out of state?

I’m looking at one… the guy says I have to get a transit tag from NYS DMV. I don’t see how to do that, I thought you have to get the transit tag from the state where it is registered.

  7. BSM…so the guy that owns the firm from whom we rent office space has 2 Jamaican housekeepers that he’s had for decades.

Turns out there’s a bottle of some elixir here in the office that they made with cloves, allspice and something else, steeped. A few tablespoons mixed with a bit of honey and my cough is gone for 2 hours. Take 3 x a day.
