An easy thing to do to improve balance is whenever you’re standing around doing nothing (in line at GPO, etc.) stand on one foot & raise the other knee so leg is at 90 angle. Hold for count of 15. Switch. It really works. Mine was totally screwed up after the hospital last year – very scarey. Fine now w/ no official rehab.
That’s good to know, Arkady thanks. I am approaching it that way. I never really came back from the foot injury I had and I have lost balance and alignment. The last attempt I had to regain my balance, I got a trainer, a young guy who had me doing all kinds of really hard stuff and I was really excited about it. Right after one very vigorous session, I had a major swollen ankle. No thanks. I need a professional.
I can see that this can be pretty grueling stuff, but the class seems to be run by a pretty knowledgeable person (and I am not one to push the envelope).
I am not so concerned with flattening my stomach, per se, but getting better balance and strength. I have broker/trader shoulder (years of phones) and somehow I hold one shoulder slightly higher than the other, I smacked up my knee (rollerblading in traffic years back) and then the foot injury. This person works with people who are rehabbing from injuries, accidents, childbirth (not same category I know but…).
“why is the last hr of the workday the longest?!?!?”
LMAO. DH and I were clearly separated at birth. Albeit 20 years apart.
“why is the last hr of the workday the longest?”
Same reason that “a watched pot never boils”!!
ugh – why is the last hr of the workday the longest?!?!?
DIBS, my friend on that trip was a charming good looking smooth talking white boy from the south – ie no such exposure / risk
tks, Arkady.

Cobble,
