  1. “I don’t think the bike lane proponents would be suddenly sanguine about the opposition”

    Thanks Slopey! I’ve been looking for something to rhyme with “penguin” for a limerick I’m currently working on.

  2. One of my good friends was an actuary. I never understood what he did. He’s also one of the funniest guys I know and is now a successful comedy writer. He’s got the classic deadpan humor that I love and is a genius with the throwaway line.

  3. CGar — discussing dibs’ women troubles would certainly not take five bottles. A shot, perhaps, and then only if his cat is female.

    meanwhile, dibs, why don’t you bring your PA cat for the week next week? Your new houseguests will be gone by the end of the week.

    benson — we’ll have to disagree on that one. I have to think that if the bike lane opponents brought in David Boies, or even Laurence Tribe, for either paid or pro bono representation in an Article 78 challenging DOT’s decision to place a bike lane there, there would be equally incredulous comments. I don’t think the bike lane proponents would be suddenly sanguine about the opposition just because the firepower came from the liberal side of the bar.

  4. Slopey, that was not the point that jackass was making. He threw the name Bush out there to incite head nodding among liberal idiots. Plain and simple.

    Oh my God they represented Bush!!!! They are evil and Republican and stuff!!!! Can’t you see now that anti bike lane people are CONSERVATIVE?????

    There are much, much better ways to demonstrate that GDC is a baller firm.

  5. “I had a five bottle of wine brunch with the Jewish guy on Sunday”

    “dibs, discussing women trouble usually needs at least 5 bottles!”

    A. I’m NOT the only “Jewish guy” here.

    2. And what makes you think we discussed dave’s “women trouble”?

  6. Slopey;

    Doubtful.

    I’m sure that this high-powered firm has been involved in other famous cases that could have been cited (and are more contemporary). Invoking “Bush-vs.-Gore” puts them in the high-powered, and EVIL, law-firm category (to those with BDS).
